Tendonitis

Tendonitis Therapy

Tendonitis, or inflammation of a tendon, can occur in various parts of the body and is often caused by repetitive strain, overuse, or injury. The goal of tendonitis therapy is to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, promote healing, and prevent further damage. Here are common approaches to tendonitis therapy:
    • Rest and Activity Modification:

Resting the affected area and avoiding activities that worsen symptoms is essential in the early stages of tendonitis. Activity modification may involve changes in technique or equipment for athletes.

    • Ice Therapy:

Applying ice to the inflamed tendon can help reduce swelling and numb pain. Ice packs or cold compresses can be used for short periods several times a day.
